3. Properties

Using stearic acid and calcium hydroxide as raw material, supplemented by other functional chemicals generated by the solid-phase method in production of high-purity calcium stearate. Calcium stearate is soluble in toluene, alcohol, benzene and other organic solvents, insoluble in water, heating to 400℃slow decomposition, combustible, in acid decomposing into stearic acid and corresponding Calcium salt, water absorption, nontoxic, non-sulfide pollution, long term thermal stability.

5. Usage

Calcium stearate can used be a thermal stabilizer for PVC and various plastics processing lubricants, mould release agent and so on. In rigid products, Used in conjunction with Alkalinity lead salt and Lead soap can improve plasticizing rate. Also used for food packaging, medical apparatus, such as nontoxic flexible film and equipment. Also can be used as absorbents for Polyethylene and polypropylene halogen, in order to eliminate the adverse effects of remaining catalyst on color and stability. As plasticizer in rubber processing, thickening agent for grease, waterproofing agent for textile, flatting agent for paint, plasticizer for manufacture plastic album. Also used in pencil leads production and pharmaceuticals, perfume industry,etc.
