1.The Description of Whisker Reinforced Ceramic Inserts: Whisker reinforcement involves strengthening a hard ceramic matrix with strong,stiff, silicon carbide crystals, commonly called whiskers. When are dispersed into a matrix of fine-grained aluminum oxide, the whiskers add tensile strength and improve the fracture toughness of the ceramic matrix.
