An outstanding glucoamyalse particularly ideal for fuel ethanol production:
Very thermostable
Robust glucoamylase activity
Faster fermentation
More ethanol output
Less starch residues
Fits to various materials, e.g. corn, milo, barley, wheat, rice, potatoes and tapioca
Glucoamylase Description
Boli GA-130 is made from selected strains of Aspergillus niger using submerged fermentation, extraction and refining techniques. Boli GA-130 has a high conversion rate of starchy substrates into fermentable sugars. Boli GA-130 can hydrolyze alpha-D-1, 4 glucosidic bonds from the non-reducing end of starch one after. This enzyme also hydrolyzes the alpha-D-1, 6 glucoside branch bonds of starch and cleaves the alpha-1, 3 bonds, releasing glucose.
Glucoamylase Characteristics
Declared Enzyme: Glucoamylase
Systematic Name: EC 3.2.1.3, 1,4-alpha-D-glucan glucohydrolase
Appearance: Light to dark brown liquid
Activity: 150,000 U/ml (minimum)
Product pH: 3.0 ~ 5.0
Specific gravity: 1.13 to 1.20 g/ml
Glucoamylase Effect Of PH
For maximum activity, the optimal pH for Boli GA-130 is in the range of 3.5 ~ 4.5.
Glucoamylase Effect Of Temperature
The optimal temperature range for Boli GA-130 is 58 ~ 65°C.
Glucoamylase Applications And Benefits
Boli GA-130 is used to saccharify liquified mash from various sources including corn, milo, barley, wheat, rice, potatoes and tapioca. The resultant glucose product is fermented by yeast to yield ethanol.
Glucoamylase Usage Guidelines
For ground-grain processing plants using simultaneous saccharification fermentation (SSF), Boli GA-130 may be added directly to the fermenter. For ground-grain dry mill plants and for wet mill plants using a separate pre-saccharification step prior to fermentation, Boli GA-130 may be added to the cooling mash or liquefied starch when the temperature reaches 65 ~ 58°C. Temperatures above 65°C can result in loss of activity.
Glucoamylase Dosage
Boli GA-130 is generally added at a level of 0.7 ~ 0.8 kg/TDS. The actual dosage rate depends on the raw materials, reaction temperature, time and pH of the saccharification/fermentation process, and the desired results in individual plants.
