Features and Benefits
“Tianmai” PE pipes for mining are produced with special materials for them and manufactured on first class special production lines with low temperature and high speed for PE pipes which is brought in from abroad. These pipes possess various remarkable characteristics and can be showed as follows:
1. Antiflaming, antistatic electricity. Components of antiflaming and antistatic electricity are both equably distributed in the bodies of the pipes .So the performance indicators of antiflaming and antistatic electricity will not be influenced for their long-term usage. Properties of antiflaming and antistatic electricity are both meet the national standard and suitable for inflammable and explosive conditions under ground.
2. Light weight, easy installation: the density of PE pipe for mining is low and unit weight of PE pipe is only 1/8 and 1/3 that of steel pipe and glass reinforced pipe. Therefore, PE pipe for mining is not only convenient to transport and install, but also greatly reduce the worker’s labor intensity and improve work efficiency.
3. Anticorrosion, no fouling: with strong performances of anticorrosion and no fouling, PE pipe for mining is especially suitable for transporting water with high sulfur, calcium ion, magnesium ion and so on underground. For this reason, the cost of corrosion prevention and contaminant separation is greatly saved and its service life is well above that of steel pipe. Finally, the synthesis economic efficiency is increased.
4. Self-lubricity: inner wall of PE pipe for mining is smooth with small resistance when transporting liquid. Under the same condition, delivery capacity can be increased by 30% because roughness is much less than that of steel pipe and glass reinforced pipe. Moreover, it has other features such as good toughness and excellent ground subsidence resistance.
5.Excellent properties of ageing resistance and rapid crack propagation resistance. PE pipe for mining has excellent properties of ageing and rapid crack propagation resistance and is not easy to embrittle at low temperature. It possesses moderate toughness which can effectively absorb the impact energy. Its flexural modulus is moderate and the breaking elongation is above 400%. In the coal mine, PE pipe for mining can effectively avoid break accidents under special conditions with ground subsidence and other phenomena occurred occasionally while comparing with traditional steel pipe and glass reinforced pipe with character of firmness
6. Good wear resistance. The contrast test between PE pipe for mining and steel pipe on wear resistance shows that PE pipe for mining is 4 times the wear resistance of steel pipe. In the field of coal transportation, PE pipe for mining possesses better ware resistance than steel pipe which means it has longer service life and better economical efficiency.
7. Impact resistance: it can be used at a low temperature because of the low temperature brittleness of polyethylene.
8. High toughness: breaking elongation can be generally surpassed 500%.
9. Excellent flexibility: the pipes can be bended and rubber flexible connectors will be reduced after they are used as dredging pipes offshore.
10. Easy connection: adopting fusion joint, clamp joint or flanged joint, it is convenient to construct.
Application Areas
“Tianmai” PE pipes for mining are mainly used for drainage, ventilation, coal slurry delivery, gas drainage and so on under coal mine. PE pipes for mining must pass the tests of National Center of Quality Supervision and Inspection of Mining Machinery (its properties all up to the national standard MT558.1-2005) and are permitted to use the coal mine “MA” certificate after the permission of China Ministry of Coal and Carbon. Description
“Tianmai” PE pipes for mining are classified by the applications, materials, nominal external diameters and pressure grades. They can be divided into 4 categories of water supply and drainage pipes for mining(KS), guniting pipes for mining(KJ),vent pipes for mining(KF) and gas drainage pipes for mining(KW) based on different purposes, 5 series of PN0.6、 PN0.8、PN1.0 、PN1.25、PN1.6 according to the pressure grades. Production dimension is between 20mm~630mm. It is usually 8, 10 and 12 meters long and the length can also be determined after negotiation between sellers and buyers. The minimum wall thickness of the pipe corresponding to nominal external diameter and nominal pressure is showed in Table 1.

Performance requirements
“Tianmai” PE pipe for mining is manufactured according to the standard of MT 558.1-2005 “Plastic Pipes Used in Coal Mine Underground Section 1: PE pipe”. Main performance indicators of the pipes are showed in Table 2.

Connection type
“Tianmai” PE pipe for mining can adopt fusion joint and flanged joint. Steel-plastic transition joint can also be selected while connecting with metallic conduit.
