SQ889 weatherproof silicone sealant is a silicone anti-climate elastomeric sealant (±50%) with single component, neural solidifying and high displacement capability, and possesses excellent anti-climate aging property. It is applicable for the anti-climate sealing of various curtain walls and is used in various monitors and other buildings whose joint seam materials requires big displacement capability.
Characteristics of product:
1. SQ889 can be used directly by extruding out at temperatures ranging from 10℃ to 50℃. SQ889 can have good cohesive property for most architecture materials such as glass and aluminum materials without applying primer.
2. Neural solidifying, and have no corrosivity to the adhered surface. Excellent anti-climate aging properties, good high and low temperature resistant properties, always keeps its properties at temperatures ranging from -60℃ to 180℃. Displacement capability ±50%. Have no pollution on environment.
Method of application
1. To ensure good cohesive property of anti-climate elastomeric sealant, the surface of being adhered material must be clean, dry and have no pollutants.
2. SQ889 can be extruded out directly and used at temperatures ranging from 10℃ to 50℃. The dimension of joint seam conforms to the stipulation of JGJ102.
3. To ensure elastomeric sealant not to pollute periphery of joint seam during construction, protective covering adhesive tape must be used. The protective covering adhesive tape will be removed after glue-pouring finishes.
Limitations to use
This product is not applicable for following situations:
1. Structured-ness assembly.
2. Entire materials that exude grease, plasticizer or solvent.
3. Surface of vulcanized or semivulcanized rubber.
4. Area of closeness and exclusion air.
5. Interface of ground water or place subjected to excess friction.
6. Frost or damp surface.
