The static electricity from the electronic staructure and relatively high volume resistivity of plastics, with the surface resistance as high as 10¹⁶Ω-10¹⁹Ω,which makes normal plastic products prone to create high electrostatic charge and low permittivity. Simp-processing or the using process, such as absorbing dust during storage and use which would impair with the appearance and performance of the product;discharging of high electrostatic charge which would affect the normal operation of precision equipments such as electronic chips, communication equipments and medical equipments;interfering with the normal winding of film or fiber during processing, which would also greatly afffet the dyeing and printing of the product. In some occasions, such as environment with high concentration of dust, the sparks generated by electrostaic charge would even cause explosion and fire.
