Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE or sometimes shortened to UHMW), also known as high-modulus polyethylene (HMPE) or high-performance polyethylene (HPPE), is a subset of the thermoplastic polyethylene.

 The UHMWPE Fiber made by us is of excellent characteristics such as high strength, high modulus, low density, abrasion and impact resistance, reagent durability, high hydrophobic, biocompatibility and anti-UV, etc. The product also shows good characteristics in resistance to (sea) water, moisture, mildew, fatigue durability and long flexing life, etc.
There are several specifications of UHMWPE Fiber such as 400D, 500D, 800D, 1000D, 1200D, 1500D, 1600D, 2200D and 3000D.  etc., and the mean tenacity is over 35g/den. Generally, it has many performances as below:

 1. High Tenacity. Pound for pound 15 times stronger than high quality steel, and 1.4 times than Aramid fiber.

2. High Modulus. >1200g/D, higher than any other fibers except Carbon Fiber.

3. Low Specific Gravity. 0.97 g/cm3, lighter than water, one of the lightest synthetic fiber.

4. Low Elongation. 3% only. Do not shrink in water.

5. High resistance to sunlight and ultraviolet light.

6. Excellent resistance to chemicals. No reduce in most chemicals solvent.

7. Good abrasion resistance.

8. Excellent cut resistance.

9. Excellent vibration damping performance.

10. High energy absorption, low dielectric constant, low friction, impact resistance etc.

 The Yoonnet UHMWPE Fiber is widely used in:

--Ropes and Cordage (mooring, towing, t ing, Sling and etc.)

--National defense, Personal protective (armor, helmet, cut resistance glove)

--Dental floss and so on.

Ropes and cordages made with The Yoonnet UHMWPE Fiber are used as mooring, t ing and towing ropes, offshore positioning ropes, yachting lines, commercial fishing lines, industry slings and etc.

The Yoonnet UHMWPE Fiber is also widely used in industry and commercial fishing netting fields, including netting—trawl, aquaculture nets, safety nets used in the construction industry and cargo nets used in the transport/logistic sector. We have LY-35 series UHMWPE fiber, strength similar to Dyneema SK75 products.
