The stainless steel bellows compensator, also known as the stainless steel bellows expansion joint, is a flexible, thin-walled, laterally corrugated, telescoping device that consists of a metal bellows and components. The working principle of the bellows compensator is mainly to use its own elastic deformation function to compensate for the axial, angular, lateral and combined displacement of the pipeline due to thermal deformation, mechanical deformation and various mechanical vibrations. The functions of pressure, sealing, corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, impact resistance, vibration reduction and noise reduction can reduce the deformation of the pipeline and increase the service life of the pipeline.
The main elastic element of the stainless steel bellows compensator is stainless steel bellows, and the axial, lateral, and angular compensation of the pipe is achieved by relying on the expansion and bending of the bellows. Its role can play:
         1. Compensate the axial, lateral and angular thermal deformation of the absorption pipe.
         2. Absorb equipment vibrations to reduce the impact of equipment vibrations on the pipeline.
         3. Absorb the deformation of the pipeline caused by earthquakes and subsidence.
The bellows can be divided into unconfined bellows compensators and constrained compensators according to whether it can absorb the pressure thrust (blank force) generated by the medium pressure in the pipeline. According to the displacement type of bellows, it can be divided into axial Type compensators, transverse compensators, angular compensators, and pressure balanced bellows.
