The Pilot™ Coronary stent is mounted on a low-profile Rapid Exchange PTCA dilatation catheter. The balloon is inflated and the stent is deployed by injecting diluted contrast medium solution through the hub of the catheter. The guidewire lumen is accessed through the sideport, which is located proximal to the leading tip of the catheter. A guidewire with a maximum diameter of 0.014” may be inserted through the guidewire port. The delivery system has two radiopaque marker bands that delimit the working length of the balloon. The stent is mounted on the balloon between the marker bands.
