DESCRIPTION:
Properties: Yellowished-brown or black lumpish solid, the pure is colorless crystals (the higher content CaC2 is purple). An immediate violent reaction with water to produce acetylene, and produce heat.
Density: 2.22 g / cc
Melting point: 447 ℃
Boiling point: 2300 ℃
USAGE:
1) Mainly used for making acetylene.And it also used in organic synthesis, oxy-acetylene welding.
2) CaC2 can be conductive, the higher the purity, the more easily the conductivity

STORAGE:
Stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated warehouse. Away from fire and heat. Relative humidity below 75%. Packaging must be sealed and not damp. Should be separated from acid and alcohol and avoid mixing reservoir. Storage areas should be equipped with a suitable host material spill.
