Description
Some important characteristics of liquid level sensors or float-style sensors are it’s sensing points, stable buoyancy, specific gravity, and resistance to heat, oil, fuels and various other chemicals. These apply to both the magnetic float and stem. Many floats constructed of brass or various types of plastic have failed to fulfill the fundamental characteristics necessary in a liquid level sensor.
MEDER electronic is now providing a better level sensing solution with the use of a Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) float switch magnet. NBR Floats have excellent resistance to petroleum-derived liquids such as oil and gasoline and can also be used in high temperature applications. NBR is more compatible with these hostile conditions than our existing floats made of Polyamide (PA) and Polypropylene (PP), further expanding our liquid level sensors positive attributes as follows:

- Selective operate points for closing and opening
- A range of magnetic reed switch switching requirements relative to position
- A range of reed switch power switching requirements

Description
Float switch magnets are a key component to liquid level sensors or float-type sensors thus it is essential that they maintain their functionality, with minimal to no degradation, over the life of the level sensor. PA Magnetic Floats, made of nylon, have a very high strength-to-weight ratio making them shock and abrasion resistant as well as capable of enduring a 5 bar pressure (73 PSI or 0.5 MPa). Additionally, PA floats have a high resistance to many chemicals and are therefore an ideal solution in fuel tanks, oil containers or brake fluid reservoirs.

Description
PP Floats have many excellent properties important to the operation of float-type sensors. Among the best float properties are it’s water absorption of only 0.1% giving it excellent buoyancy. PP Magnetic Floats, also called float switch magnets, are r ed and highly resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids. These attributes make the PP float an excellent choice for water-level sensors, automotive applications and producers of manufacturing and plant equipment.

Description
V2A Stainless Steel Floats contain a built-in actuator magnet and are made of rust-proof stainless steel. These stainless steel magnetic floats are also high temperature resistant making them an ideal float switch magnet for fluid level sensing in the Food & Beverage industry, among others. Additionally, their hollow buoyant structure and strength are an excellent combination for use in high pressure tanks. Stainless steel floats are also ideal in Food and Drug applications.
