Formic acid is a colorless, fuming, flammable and having irritating odor liquid. Acid ratio 1.2201, melting point 8.3 c, boiling point 100.8c, flash point 68.9 c ignition temperature 410 c relative density (water = 1): 1.23. Highly corrosive. Formic acid can be miscible with water, ethanol, ethyl ether, glycerol and etc., insoluble in hydrocarbons
Uses: Formic acid is one of basic organic chemical material, widely used in pesticide, leather, dye, pharmaceutical and rubber industries.
