Mineral insulated (MI) heating cable is consisted of one or more alloy conductors, fused and crystallized MgO with high purity as heat conducting insulation material as well as the sheath made of stainless steel or other metal alloy tubes with high temperature resistance and strong corrosion resistance, manufactured by means of a special production process.
So far MI heating cable is widely used for the heating trace and heating applications such as industrial freeze protection, temperature maintain, large output power, high exposure temperature and strong performance of environmental corrosion resistance. In the past a few years with the special requirements of the oil well drilling and exploration, quite great progress has been made for the development of MI heating cable down well with large continuous length and large power.
