Midpoint drift protection: Original power amplifier only starts to protect till the midpoint drift exceed 1 to 1.5V, but at that time, there is DC get through the speaker, it is not safe for the speaker. The protection circuit of the mentioned models are so sensitive that even start the protection function when there is small DC input, this prevents damage caused by heavy current.
