Grid Connect Solar Power Systems connect the solar power system to theAC mains supply grid providing an alternative household energy supply.These systems can supply up to 32% of typical household energyrequirements with the balance being supplied from the AC mains supplygrid. During low daytime household energy consumption periods anyexcess energy generated by the solar power system is supplied back tothe AC mains supply grid resulting in a credit from your local powerprovider. Grid connect system operation is dependant on the AC mainssupply grid and does not provide backup power in the event of an ACmains outage.
