DESCRIPTION
Prestained protein Marker I is a mixture of purified proteins covalently coupled to a blue and red dye that resolves to 6 bands between 14 and 100kDa when electrophoresed. The product contains high-concentration of Prestained Protein Marker I, therefore little amount is necessary of them. It is designed for monitoring of protein separation during SDS-PAGE, verifying Western blot transfer efficiency, perfect for CBB, silver and negative staining. Color remains the same even after blotting. The Prestained Protein Marker I is supplied in gel loading buffer and is ready-to-use.
STORAGE
- Store at -20℃, the shelf life is 1 year.
- Aliquot and prevent freeze/thaw cycles.
CHARACTERISTICS
- The separation state of sample can be presumed during electrophoresis.
- Contain high-concentration of prestained proteins, therefore very little amount is necessary of them.
- Very good lot-to-lot consistency.
- Perfect for CBB, silver and negative staining.
- Ready-to-use.
STORAGE BUFFER
2(W/V) % SDS 1mM EDTA-2Na
40mM DTT 70mM Tris-HCl (pH 6.8)
10(V/V) % Glycerol 0.01% bromophenol blue
5% 2-mercaptoethanol 33mM NaCl
1. Thaw Prestained Protein Marker I to room temperature before use. After complet
thawing, mix thoroughly. Heat the Marker to 37-40℃ for 1 minute if any solids was
precipitated at -20℃.
2. For mini-gel load 5-10μl to the bottom of the well by the pipettor.
For full-size gel (ex.16 x 20 cm) load 10-20μl.
3. Load samples.
4. Connect the power supply and start electrophoresis.
