It is one of the most famous among Chinese oolong tea, and is listed as one of the Famous Ten Teas of China. There are so many mythic stories about Da Hong Pao tea. Legend goes that an Emperor clothed the bushes with red robes whose leaves had cured his mother's illness. "Red" means" Hong" in Chinese, "Robe" means "Pao" in Chinese. It has dark green leaves with purple-red stripe and vein. incredibly flavorful tea from the stems of the tea plants among the rocks in Wuyi Mountain. This famous tea is noted for its strong sweet-osmanthus fragrance, smooth, yet so mellow aftertaste, and can stand brewing 8-10 times .
Brewing guide: to brew the tea, take 3-5g for a cup or about 8g for a teapot, brew with freshly boiling water for 2--3 minutes.
Storage: Care shall be taken to avoid sunlight and storing in damp and high temperature places.
