Gear Pump Product Application

KCB Horizontal Circulating Gear Oil Pump is suitable for liquids with lubricant property. The temperature is not higher than 70 °C. If customers ask for pumps for 300 °C medium, please inform us in advance. In order to meet the requirements, the pump will be equipped with high temperature resistant materials. Medium viscosity is from 5×10-5to 1.5×10-3m2/s.
The pump is not suitable for delivering corrosive liquids, liquids containing hard particles or fibers, highly volatile or low boiling point liquids , such as gasoline, benzene etc.

Gear Pump Assembly and Disassembly
Whether the pump is assembled correctly affects its performance greatly. The outlet center line of the impellers must be aligned to its inlet center line, and the overall performance will be affected and the efficiency will be reduced consequently if there is a slight deviation, therefore, the sealing clearances between the rotary part and the fixed part should meet the specification. If the clearance is too small, the service life of the pump will be shortened by wear of components and vibration of pump; if the clearance is too large, the pump’s efficiency will be lowered down by the growing leakage. Assembly and disassembly of the pump must be carried out according to the General Assembly Drawing.

Gear Pump Installation
Apart from the general installation requirements, note that:
1. The motor and the pump’s coupling should be spaced for a clearance approximate to displacement of the pump shaft.
2. The shaft axis of motor and the pump should be in a horizontal line.

This series of gear oil pump consists of gear, shaft, pump body, safety valve, shaft end seal. The gear has a higher hardness and strength through heat treatment, and the shaft is installed in a replaceable shaft. The lubrication of all parts in the pump is automatically achieved by using the output medium when the pump is working.
The pump has a reasonable drainage and return tank, which is the minimum torque force that the gear has to bear at work, so the bearing load is small, the wear is small, the pump efficiency is high.
The pump has a safety valve as overload protection, the full reflux pressure of the relief valve is 1.5 times the rated pressure of the pump, and also can be adjusted according to the actual needs in the range of allowable discharge pressure. But note that this valve can not be used for the long-term work of the pressure-reducing valve. It can be installed separately on the road when necessary.
