The LED module is the most important core component of the LED display. Outdoor LED module is mainly composed of LED lamp, IC, casing, resistors, capacitors, circuit boards, glue, screws, power sockets and signal sockets and other plug-in components.

So what are the functions of each material for outdoor LED Display modules?

1. LED Lamp: LED Lamps are used for imaging and displaying images. The main technical indicators include brightness, blind rate, consistency, wavelength, lifespan, current, etc. So a good Outdoor LED module must use good LED lamps. Installing the LED modules also needs some power tools.

2. IC: IC is the brain of the outdoor LED module, mainly used to process image data, and receive and transmit data, IC directly affects the grayscale, color, refresh rate, etc. of the outdoor LED display module.

3. Caee: The Planstic case is used as the supporting structure of the outdoor LED module, which directly affects the flatness, contrast, and waterproof level of the LED display assembly. A good shell has high strength, a smooth surface, and black ink.

4. Resistor: The resistor is mainly used to stabilize the current. By controlling the value of the resistor, the current is controlled to keep the brightness of the outdoor LED display module constant.

5. Capacitor： The main function of the capacitor is filtering, which greatly improves the brightness of the outdoor LED module and the consistency of color display.

6. PCB: There are many lines on the surface and inside of the PCB, which connect all the components and make them work in an orderly manner.

7. Glue: The glue is for waterproof. It is used to ensure that the outdoor LED module can be 100% waterproof in harsh environments. Once the LED module is flooded, it is close to being scrapped and cannot be repaired. Even if it is repaired, it will not be stable in later work.

Poor glue, not only cannot  waterproof, but also is corrosive, which will corrode the shell and plastic mask, causing the plastic on the surface of the outdoor LED display module to warp
