Bacitracin zinc is a complex antibiotic formed by the combination of bacteriocins and zinc salts. It mainly exerts antibacterial effects by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and has significant effects on Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. It is commonly used for skin infections or topical prevention of wound infections
