Against this background, the 2025 China (Hefei) International Coal Equipment Expo was born in response to the situation. This expo is co-organized by the Anhui Provincial People's Government, the National Manufacturing Power Strategy Advisory Committee, the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Global Small and Medium Enterprises Alliance. It is supported by the China Federation of Overseas Chinese, China Machinery Industry Group Co., Ltd., the China Enterprise Federation, China Machinery Industry Federation, China Photovoltaic Industry Association, China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute, China Industrial Internet Research Institute, etc., aiming to create an authoritative and forward-looking exchange platform in the global coal equipment field. The exhibition is themed "Innovation-driven and intelligently lead green mines", focusing on technological breakthroughs and coordinated development in the core links of the coal industry chain, promoting the deep integration of high-end equipment manufacturing, digital technology and clean energy, and providing Chinese solutions for global energy transformation.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts that coal will still account for more than 20% of global energy consumption by 2050. How to achieve low-carbon and clean utilization while ensuring energy security has become a common challenge to the global coal industry.

China's "14th Five-Year Plan" clearly proposes to "promote clean and efficient use of coal", and policies such as the "Guidelines for the Construction of Intelligent Coal Mines" are being implemented at a faster pace.
