Ⅰ. Product Introduction：

Chemical name:Basic Barium Dinonylnaphthalene Sulfonate

Code: TF-705

T705is a high molecular weight basic barium dinonylnaphthalene sulfonate with a base number of about 45 mg KOH/g. It usually gives clear and stable solutions in petroleum oils and supplies  reserve alkalinity for the  neutralization of corrosive organic or inorganic acids. These acids are formed as a result of fuel combustion or oil oxidation and form the halogens used as scavengers for the antiknock additives in motor fuels.

T705 solutions in petroleum oils are quite stable with the oils remaining clear even when exposed to relative humidity of 80% or higher. Such humidity cause the partial or complete separation of the petroleum sulfonate.

T705 is less corrosive to copper, copper alloys and other non-ferrous metals than other  bariu m  sulfonates  such  as  T705A  and  T705B .  I n  some  extreme  pressure lubricant formulations T705 has been found to have little or no adverse ect on load carrying capacity, as measured by the Timken, F.Z.G, and other extreme pressure lubricant tests.
