Agaricus blazei (also known as Brazilian mushroom) is native to Brazil and Peru. It is a summer and autumn growth of rotting mushrooms, living in a high temperature, humid, ventilated environment, with almond flavor, crisp taste. Agaricus mushroom cysts are sturdy, the cap is 5 to 11 cm in diameter, initially hemispherical, gradually becoming bun-shaped and finally spreading, with a flat top center and light brown to maroon fibrous scales on the surface, with fragments of mycorrhizal curtain on the cap edge. Stalk cylindrical, medium solid, 4 to 14 cm long, 1 to 3 cm in diameter, equal thickness above and below or the base is expanded, the surface is nearly white, become nearly yellow when touched by hand. Above the bacterium ring initially have powdered to dandruff-like small scales, and then shed into smooth, hollow. The ring is large, superior, membranous, white at first, then slightly brownish, with brownish dandruff-like appendages under the membrane. Spores broad oval to ovate, without bud pores. According to the determination, Agaricus blazei (dried product) contains 43.19% crude protein, 3.73% crude fat, 41.56% total sugar, 6.01% crude fiber, vitamin B, 0.32 mg per 100 grams, riboflavin 3.16 mg per 100 grams, niacin 49.2 mg per 100 grams, ergosterol 117 mg per 100 grams, and rich phosphorus (1.0%), calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron and copper and other essential mineral elements.
