Chrome Plated tube is known as chrome plated hollow bar also. Our factory is a professional chrome plated hollow bar manufacturer and supplier. Chrome plated tubing is produced from hot rolled or cold drawn seamless tubes in steel grade SAE 1020, 4140, 1045 and ST52.3. Our chrome plated tubes are centerless ground, polished on the outside diameters, and chrome plated to a thickness of 10 microns to 50 microns on request.

Compared to chrome plated bar, the chrome plated hollow bar can provide lighter unit weight when used as the hydraulic cylinder piston rods. Chrome plated tubes can also be offered with a honed inside diameter for telescoping hydraulic cylinder utilities.

Size range:

Chrome plated OD tube size is available in wide range of OD 25 mm to OD 609 mm.

Our factory can manufacture chrome plated od tubes in fixed length or random length up to 12 meters.

Packing

Our chrome plated tubes usually are supplied in packing method as below:

1. Standard plastic sleeves or Cardboard tubes (depending on the diameter size) packed in bundles. The tubes are oiled inside and closed with end caps.

2. Special Packaging (seaworthy protected) with additional cost is made with aluminum foil or vacuum bags.

Chief​ Applications:

The Chrome plated od tubes can be used for manufacturing and repairing hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders, telescoping hydraulic cylinders,  and the applications where high precision and high smooth outside surface is required. This product is usually used together with honed cylinder tubes for pneumatic cylinder and hydraulic cylinder applications. The chrome plated hollow rod usually is used to make hydraulic pistion rods.

1. Honed tube
Honed tube also is known as hydraulic cylinder tube, it is our most important product line, our factory manufactures honed tube with more than 20 years' experience. Our honed tube is produced from suitable to hone seamless cold drawn tubes. Our factory can manufacture honed tubes in a wide range of carbon steel and stainless steel. The size range covers from ID 32 mm to ID 500 mm.


2. Chrome plated bar
Hard chrome plated bars are the main products of our factory, this product is known as hydraulic chrome plated rod also, it is mostly used as hydraulic piston shaft. Our chrome plated shafts are produced from steel round bar by high precision polishing, and with chrome plated surface, the thickness of chrome plated layer is usually min. 20 microns. Our factoy can produce chrome plated shafts in carbon steel as CK45, and stainless steels. The size range of our chrome plated shafting is from diameter 6 mm to 800 mm.
 
3. Cold drawn seamless tubes
Cold drawn seamless tube (CDS tube) is widely used in many industries, such as fulid transportation, machine manufacturing, hydraulic systems and so on. CDS tube is the mother tube of honed pipes.
