Applications: Organic synthetic intermediates, also used in pesticides. The pharmaceutical industry is used to produce the antiepileptic drug Phenytoin, Anticholinergic stomach, and Kangweiling. It can also be used for dye production. This product is promising as a photosensitizer for UV curable resins (UV resins). Biphenyl has a wide range of wavelengths for sensitizing to ultraviolet light. The benzoin is below 3400A, and the benzoin alkyl ether is below 3900A. Biphenyl is sensitized in a wide wavelength region below 4800A, and thus can be used for curing of a thick film resin, which is a characteristic not previously found in sensitization of UA resin. And it has no odor after curing, so it is suitable for making printing inks for food packaging, etc.
