Function and classification of die head screen changer
Plastic granulator consists of two parts: head and fixed mold.
1. Function of machine head
The head is the main part of sodium extrusion parts. It makes the molten plastic from the extruder change from spiral motion to linear motion, and further gradually changes to produce the necessary forming pressure to ensure the compactness of the plastic parts, so as to obtain continuous sections with similar shapes.
2. Head classification
(1) Classification by extrusion
Generally, extruded plastic parts include pipes, bars, plates, sheets, nets, monofilaments, aggregates, various profiled materials, blow molded films, wires and cables, etc. the heads used are respectively called pipe heads and bar heads.
(2) Classification by product export direction
It can be divided into straight head and horizontal head. The direction of the material flow in the former head is the same as that of the extruder screw, such as the hard tube head; the direction of the material flow in the latter head is at an angle with the axis of the extruder bar, such as the cable head.

Although the plastic parts extruded from the machine head have the given shape, they will be deformed due to the high temperature of the parts and the self weight, so it is necessary to use the sizing device to cool and finalize the shape of the parts, so as to obtain the correct size, geometry and surface quality that can meet the requirements. Usually, by means of cooling, pressurizing or vacuuming, the fixed shape of the plastic extruded from the die is stabilized, and then it is refined, so as to obtain the plastic parts with more accurate section size and brighter surface.
