Self-Adhesive Bitumen Tape/Flashing Tape

Description

Flashing tape is a self-adhesive, rubber modified, bituminous sealing tape for the sealing of cracks and joints, also for the repair of window, tunnel and color steel roof. It consists of an aluminum foil reinforced by a polyester film and coated with a cold adhesive bituminous compound.

Technical Data

Application Guidance

1.Cut the the tape to required length.

2. Remove the backing. Press the tape. Avoid excessive pressure.

3.When laying adjacent rolls, the rolls of tape must overlap by at least 25mm.

4.Use a seam roller or rounded piece of wood to smooth the flashband, ensure good contact is made.

Note:Under the cold weather, application will be made easier by warming the surface, store the tape in a warm place prior to use. Do no apply if surface temperature is below 5℃.

Overpainting:Flashband can be overpainted with conventional decorative paints, but a little staining may be left at the edges.

Caution:The tape should keep away from acidic and alkaline materials.

Storage & Transportation
Should be stored under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from extreme temperature; In tropical climates the product must be stored in an air-condition environment, Shelf life is up to 12 months when stored as per-recommended storage condition.
