Paddle type water flow switch is an automation element that provides cut-off protection and flow control in pipes, fluid could be water, ethylene glycol, or other fluid neither harmful to brass, phosphor bronze nor classified as hazardous.
Working principle: when flow velocity exceeds setting point, deformation of the paddle drives mechanical device to make SPDT microswitch connect or cut off electrical circuit,The SPDT microswitch can connect an electrical circuit by cutting off another one accordingly. The flow switch is typically applied to the sites at which interlocking or cut-off protection needed. Paddles could be selected and trimmed according to pipe size and flow velocity.
Water flow switch can not be used in the pipe which liquid temperature drops below freezing point. Arrester must be installed if quick-closing va e fixed downstream.
