Xanthan gum, also known as xanthan gum, Hansheng gum, xanthomonas polysaccharide, is a pseudomonas genus fermentation produced by monosporous polysaccharide. Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide with a wide variety of uses, such as food, oil drilling, pharmaceutical and chemical industry. It is a powerful thickening agent, and also has uses as a stabilizer to prevent ingredients from separating.

Application

1. In food industry: Widely used as stabilizer, thickener, emulsifier in food and beverage  such as bread, ice cream, juice, instant noodles , sausage, cake, salad seasoning, canned food, dehydrated food, soy sauce, toothpaste, medicine, cosmetics, pesticide, ceramics and so on.

2. In oil industry: Xanthan gum is used in large quantities to thicken drilling mud.These fluids serve to carry the solids cut back to the surface by the drilling bit.

3. In cosmetics: Xanthan gum is used to protect water gel in conjunction with bentonite clays. It is also used in oil-in-water emulsion to stablize the oil droplets. it has some skin hydrating properties.
