The air filter is located in the engine intake system and is an assembly of one or more clean air filter components. In order for the engine to function properly, a large amount of pure air must be inhaled. The main requirements of the air filter are high filtration efficiency, low flow resistance, and continuous use for a long time. Poor quality of air filters can not capture the fine particles in the air to the maximum extent, the filtration precision is low,which will result into the cylinder wear is increased by 7 times, the piston wear is increased by 3 times, and the piston ring wear is increased by 8 times. If the air filter is not replaced on time, it will cause clogging due to excessive dust accumulation on the filter paper, and the intake resistance will increase, causing the engine power to drop or the fuel consumption to increase by 5%.

Air Filter maintenance and replacement:

There is three pollutants particles: dust,debris and carbon participates.On the general roads, the air filter must be cleaned and maintained for 7500-8000km. The intervals maintained in areas with high levels of dust should be shortened accordingly. On the  highways, the dust content is lower than in rural and architectural areas. In areas with large dust concentrations, such as construction sites and wind-blown areas, the frequency of inspection and replacement of air filters is higher. In areas where highways and traffic are crowded, the amount of carbon in the air is significantly higher because of the concentration of car emissions. For the inspection of the filter, you should look carefully at the inside of the wrinkles. Sometimes the outside of the air filter appears to be clean, but the interior is very dirty and must be replaced immediately.
