Main welding process and principle of flash butt welding:
1. The welding electrode is tightened on the workpiece, and it starts to flash when the workpiece has not completely touched.
2. Next, the workpiece clamped by welding electrode approaches slowly. With the increase of current density, the contact point between workpieces begins to melt, and at the same time, part of metal melt overflows, forming the initial butt welding joint.
3. The welding area becomes hotter and hotter, and the speed of butt welding also accelerates.
4. Flash and splash make the two contact surfaces completely welded together.
5. At last, high pressure is used for top forging to cut off the current and complete the welding.
