Pc-pet is a blend of PC and PET, which is usually supplied in pellet shape after blending. If the two materials are simply mixed and directly injected, the effect is very poor, and the stratification phenomenon will occur: PC/PBT has the comprehensive characteristics of PC and PBT, such as the high toughness and geometric stability of PC and the chemical stability, thermal stability and lubrication characteristics of PBT. The advantage of PC is that it is rigid and flexible at room temperature, but in the case of high temperature, hot deformation is serious. The disadvantages are stress cracking and high viscosity. The advantage of PBT is that its rigidity is not affected by temperature and its deformation is small. In this way, the blended materials pc-pbt retains their advantages. PBT has higher surface hardness, higher rigidity and toughness, higher resistance to high-temperature shape, and higher resistance to stress and cracking. Its mechanical properties between the two are of great significance for large shell materials.

Typical application range: the application features of automotive exterior trim is plastic instead of steel, to reduce the weight of the car. Automobile exterior trim includes: front and rear bumper, engine cover, radiator grille, fender board, car exterior door handle, rear guide board, automobile body adornment bar and so on. In addition to the function of interior decoration, the exterior decoration also requires high strength, high toughness, environmental condition resistance and impact resistance. Polyester (PBT) and polyester/polycarbonate alloy (PBT/PC), especially elastomer toughened PBT/PC alloy and PET/PC alloy are ideal materials for manufacturing automobile exterior trim, suitable for making automobile body plate, side guard board, fender board, door frame, etc. PC+PBT is a plastic alloy, which keeps the chemical resistance of crystalline material PBT and is easy to be shaped. Gear box, bumper and products requiring chemical reaction and corrosion resistance, thermal stability, impact resistance and geometric stability. Its products are widely used in automobile bumper, automobile handle, automobile interior parts, vacuum cleaner housing, electronic components, communication equipment, lighting equipment, etc. PC/PBT has comprehensive characteristics of both PC and PBT, such as high toughness and geometric stability of PC, chemical stability, thermal stability and lubrication characteristics of PBT.
