Four-in-one access unit provides integrated broadband and narrowband access services for enterprise networks, industrial automation, and service providers.

Flexible multi-service platform supports smooth evolution from Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) service to Next-Generation Networking (NGN), then to IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and upstream Passive Optical Network (PON) networking.

Huawei's UA5000 multi-service access node (MSAN) access solution widely serves enterprise users and keeps ranking No.1 in the global access network (AN) markets. The solutions can be used for the access of power distribution services, high-speed passenger dedicated railway services, and IP-based integrated services for large enterprises.

1. The UA5000 has carrier-class "triple-high" designs: High-density system design, featuring high-density 64-line plain old telephone service (POTS) board, broadband and narrowband COMBO board

• High-performance system design, with a backplane bandwidth reaching 100 Gbit/s, a time division multiplexing (TDM) exchanging capacity 8K*8K, and a broadband exchanging capacity of 262.5 Gbit/s

• High-reliability system design, with the control board and power system supporting 1+1 redundancy backup. The key resources such as the digital signal processor (DSP) support the load sharing working

1.The UA5000 provides multiple ports for legacy services, such as POTS, integrated services digital network (ISDN), basic rate access (BRA)/primary rate access (PRA), E1, TDM G.SHDSL, V.24/V.35, E&M, foreign exchange office (FXO)/foreign exchange subscriber (FXS), and 2/4-wire audio frequency services.

 

2. The UA5000 provides ports for broadband services such as x digital subscriber line (xDSL) and gigabit Ethernet (GE), greatly improving the bandwidth of users and achieving high-speed interconnection among enterprises. As follows, the UA5000 adopts EFM G.SHDSL.bis multi-pair bonding to achieve high-speed enterprise access.

 

3. The UA5000 supports VDSL2 access, thereby greatly increasing bandwidth for users and turning 50 Mbit/s-to-desktop into reality.

4. Complying with IGMPv2 and IGMPv3, the UA5000 helps carriers deploy IPTV services and improve APRU.

The UA5000 provides fast Ethernet (FE)/GE, Gigabit-capable passive optical network (GPON), and E1 uplink ports, and supports V5, H.248 and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) protocols to seamlessly adapt to public switched telephone network (PSTN), next generation network (NGN) and IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) networks. With these features, the UA5000 supports smooth evolution of a PSTN to an NGN or IMS network by only software upgrade, with no need to replace hardware.

 

6. The UA5000 provides a fast data transmission tool, an auto dialup tool, a lines connectivity test tool and accurate port migration solutions. These tools and solutions can be used for PSTN network to an IP network.

7. The UA5000 supports high-density 64-line boards, doubling the user access density, requiring less equipment room space, and reducing site deployment costs.

8. The UA5000 has a built-in metallic loop test (MELT) function for fault locating. The MELT function supports concurrent testing for 64 lines, to improve the testing efficiency.

1. The UA5000 provides a high-density 32-line COMBO board, which is a 3-in-1 board integrating the POTS, ADSL2+, and splitter functions. 2. With the COMBO board used, the space for installing device, cables, main distribution frame (MDF), and the workload in cable connection is reduced. This also facilitates the operation and maintenance, as well as reduced the TCO for carriers.
