SmartAX MA5600T MA5603T MA5608T devices are GPON/EPON integrated optical access products.

With super high convergence and switching capability, 3.2T backplane capacity, 960G switching capacity, 512K MAC address capacity, maximum support 46 x 10GE or 768 GE services, with no additional convergence switches.Three specifications of the software version and the user board is fully compatible, saving the type and quantity of spare parts, reduce maintenance costs.

• The MA5600T functions as an optical line terminal (OLT) in a PON network to work with the optical network unit (ONU) and optical network terminal (ONT).
• The MA5600T supports rich network applications, such as FTTH, FTTB, and FTTC.
• The MA5600T meets the network requirements of base station transmission, IP private line interconnection, and multi-ISP wholesale.
• The MA5600T supports the point-to-point (P2P) FE optical access. By cooperating with the ONT, the MA5600T provides users with the P2P FTTH access.

SmartAX MA5600T / MA5680T  is the global first all-in-one access platform which can provide DSL and optical integrated access. It can provide high density ADSL2+, VDSL2, POTS, ISDN, PON and Ethernet fiber P2P access, triple-play service, and TDM/ATM/Ethernet leased line services for business customers.

The MA5600T / MA5680T can also offer mobile backhaul with high reliability and high precision clock, and high density GE/10GE interfaces for cascading remote access equipments. MA5680T helps to simplify network architecture, to enable seamless migration in FTTx network and lower TCO essentially.

1. Evolution of OLT

SmartAX MA5600T is the global first OLT which integrates the functionality of aggregation switch and edge router. It can provide high density GPON, 10GPON and Ethernet P2P optical access, triple-play service, TDM/ATM/Ethernet leased line services for business customers and mobile backhaul with high reliability and high precision clock, and high density GE/10GE interfaces for cascading remote access equipments. MA5600T helps to simplify network architecture, to improve network reliability and lower TCO essentially.

There are three types of frame of MA5600T series product. The large frame has 16 service slots while the middle frame (which named MA5603T) has 6 service slots, the small frame（which named MA5608T）has 2 service slots. The service card and software are all compatible between MA5600T, MA5603T and MA5608T.
