SKF SNL plummer block housings in the 2, 3, 5 and 6 series have the following features and benefits:

1. Stiff housing: The housing base is reinforced with ribs and has extra material surrounding the holes for the attachment bolts.
2. Good heat dissipation : Additional ribs in the housing base, increase the contact area between the housing base and support surface.
3. Grease guiding system: SKF SNL housings from sizes 216 and 516-613 upwards have an integrated flange that guides grease from the grease fitting directly to the bearing.
4. Simple mounting: lines indicating the centre of the bearing seat and the housing bore axis are cast into the housing base. Simples indicate the position for dowel pins.

Designation system for seals :

TSN: Seal for SE plummer block housings

FS: Felt strip

FSB: Felt strip for high operating temperature

TS: Labyrinth type, made from steel, silicone

TNF: Taconite type, steel, nitrile rubber material

TSD: oil type, steel, silicone material
