The main purpose of monomethylaniline is the formation of required proknock properties of gasoline during its production. Moreover, the octane number and ecological compatibility of the product are regulated by MMA. These two factors have made N-methylaniline one of the most popular multifunctional additives.

Use of additives of this kind has a number of advantages:

• In comparison with other octane-increasing additives MMA is required seven times less, what allows to cut down transportation costs and to increase competitiveness;
• 1% of the additive of total amount increases the octane number from 2 to 6 units, depending on the initial product
• At the correct use of monomethylaniline premium-95 gasoline, which properties satisfy with all existing state standards;
• The product allows to reduce number of harmful emissions to the atmosphere at combustion, reduces consumption of fuel by 5-6%;
