POMATE anti-corrosive FRP roofing sheet, as panels system specially developed for Chemical-Resistance by Changzhou POMATE, applied in wet, acid, alkali, saline, solvent, high temperature, biological bacteria breeding, chemical corrosion place. Corrosion is one of the serious problems in the world. According to the report by National Association of Corrosion Engineers (which is NACE) in 2002, corrosion caused the direct economic loss of infrastructure and products was more than 200 billion US Dollars, equal to 3% of GDP of the USA. Also in China, corrosion is terrible, we lost about 500 billion RMB every year by the report.

With the Industrial Progress of China, a bound of buildings were manufactured with steel structure system, and light color steel sheet for temperature and maintenance system, It’s more beautiful, practical, efficient, and economical. But in some special place, steel structure and maintenance system was quite easy to be corroded, brought big hidden troubles and loss.

Anti-Corrosive FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastics) Panels, means to satisfy the anti-corrosive purpose, we developed a kind of fiber reinforced composite material, it was suitable for wet, foggy, acid, alkaline, salty, seashore, high temperature, solvent and microbiological environment. It was new FRP composite material which can protect itself or the construction and equipment to be damaged, in the certain temperature and certain time and the environment.

In fact, Anti-corrosive FRP material was successfully applied in anti-corrosive zone for more than 80 years, with different forms widely applied in urban water supply and drainage pipeline, hull, chemical storage tank, refrigerator, water treatment cooling tower, bath, anti-corrosive terrace etc. In industrial construction, western developed countries used flat panels and corrugated panels in stead of steel panel, stainless steel panel and concrete for more than 50 years. Because no matter galvanized steel sheet or Al-Zn Alloy coated steel sheet will suffer from corrosion damage, especially in edge, holes and scratch place, though stainless sheet, aluminum sheet and concrete will be damaged in harsh corrosive environment, so Anti-corrosive FRP panels were quite important in Industrial Area.
