It is known in the art of pests control that such pests as rats, cockroaches and insects, e.g., mosquitoes, spiders, fleas and flies are very sensitive to ultrasonic vibrations. Such ultrasonic vibration of sufficient intensity and duration can affect the nervous system of these pests and eventually cause disabling or mortal effects. As a consequence, when exposed to such ultrasonic vibration, these pests either attempt to avoid it or suffer the other consequences.It is also well established through Entomological research in many countries that pests are responsive to particular ultrasonic frequencies and may be repelled by these ultrasounds in a variety of situations.As shown in figure 1, mosquitoes, black flies and mites are repelled at frequencies ranging from about 30 kilohertz to 48 kilohertz and whereas house flies, rats, beetles and moths are repelled at frequencies ranging from about 20 kilohertz to 37 kilohertz.
