Litsea cubeba essential oil is light yellow to brownish yellow oily liquid, extracted from fresh Litsea Cubeba fruit by steam distillation, with strong scent between neroli and lemon. Citral is the main ingredient 60% to 80%, up to 90%, which is an important intermediate for synthetical perfume and pharmaceutical industries. In addition, Litsea cubeba essential oil also contains α2 terpineol, methylheptenone, linalool, citronellal, geraniol, camphor, α2 pinene, camphene, Rong-ene, α2 Humulene, P-Cymene,etc. the scatter flowers hydrocarbons, Litsea cubeba essential oil is the main raw material to synthetise fragrances ionone series, and also a natural flavoring agent to the food industry, it has been widely used in high-end cosmetics, soaps and other household chemicals and food production.
