Sodium 5-nitroguaiacolate is the main active agent of Sodium nitrophenolate which is a high-efficiency PGR. It is often used in some high quality folia fertilizers,compound fertilizer and pesticides.

Physical and chemical properties:
Molecular formula: C7H6NO4Na
Red crystals, melts at 105-106℃(free acid), easy to dissolve in water, soluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol, methanol and acetone, and remains stable in storage under normal conditions.
Application: Sodium 5-nitroguaiacolate is the main active agent of Sodium nitrophenolate which is a high-efficiency PGR. Sodium 5-nitroguaiacolate which is a kind of PGR can supply the needed nutrition for the reowth of plants.It can resist-drought,resist-disease and make leaves become greener and fruits become bigger to improve the quality of crops. 
Mixing with fertilizer: Sodium 5-nitroguaiacolate can provide nutrients to the plants’absorbing energy, and increase permeability of the membrane to enhance the assimilation of the fertilizer to improve the utilization rate. 
Useing in Agriculture: As a cellular activator,it can regulate plant growing. With strong osmosis, It can rapidly enter plants,promote flow of cellular protoplasm,accelerat plant germination,stimulate growth,reproduction and bearing,and help fertility. It can be used in seed soaking,irrigation, bud spread and foliage spray. 
Useing in Animal husbandry and fishery: To be used in feed formulation, it can rapidly enter animals,stimulate animal appetite, improve absorption of nutrition by animals, accelerate animal growth and development, enhance immunity of animals, and increase the quality and quantity of meat, eggs, milk, fur and wool. 
Application Methods: The end-product is diluted and sprayed on leaves twice per season, at specified developmental stages for each crop. 
Assessing Risks to Human Health:
No adverse effects to humans are expected from use of pesticide products containing these nitrophenolates. First, plants rapidly convert these nitrophenolates to other harmless natural substances. Second, the tiny amounts applied to crops do not affect the exposure of people who eat the treated crops. (In high concentrations, these nitrophenolates are eye irritants.) 
Assessing Risks to the Environment:
Toxicity tests on various species showed that no harmful effects are expected from use of these nitrophenolates as plant growth regulators. Used only in tiny amounts, the active ingredients are rapidly converted to harmless other natural substances.
