HFC-134a is a compound developed as a replacement product for CFC-12. With its properties similar to those of CFC-12, it is characterized by noncombustibility, noncorrosiveness, low toxicity, and excellent thermal stability.
It is highly compatible with ester oil and ether oil (it is not compatible with mineral oils like naphthenic oil etc., which is normally used with CFC-12). Compared to CFC-12, its moisture solubility is slightly higher.
