Molecular sieve 5A is an alkali metal aluminosilicate,it is the calcium form of the type A crystal structure.
Molecular sieve 5A has an effectible pore opening of 5 angstroms(0.5nm).It will adsorb molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 5 angstroms and exclude molecules larger than 0.5nm.It is especially suitable for PSA adsorbent applications applications where it may be used for the separation of normal and is oparaffins( C4 to C6 species),in PSA hydrogen purification and in oxygen concentrators.
