Silicone sealant characteristic

1. High strength silicone sealant with long shelf life, designed and tested for the structurally glazed curtain wall and insulating glass.

2. Curing at room temperature under the action of cross linker and catalyst in part II to give a permanently flexible silicone rubber.

• Silicone sealant is two-component.
• Neutral solidification, no corrosion to the construction materials as coating glass, metal, marble and granite etc.. It is a special silicone sealant designed for the installation with high strength and adhesive .
• Good anti-aging and anti-high and low temperature Properties. Change in property is little within the temperature scale of -50~150.
• Good adhesive property to most construction materials and better adhesion can be achieved with basecoat for special materials.
• Good compatibility with other neutral silicone sealant.
• Speed for solidification can be controlled; quicker deep solidification and suitable for construction of factories.
• Release low elements alcohol class material when curing ,no irritant.
• Non-sag with low shrinkage during vulcanization.
• Excellent weatherability and high resistance to UV.

Usage of double component silicone sealant

To be used for the second sealing in non-structural insulating glass.

Restrictions on use

• May be discolored in contact with some organic elastomers, e.g. EPDM, APTK and neoprene.
• Is not recommended for use on natural stone, such as marble, granite, quartzite, as it can cause staining.
• Is not recommended for sealing of joints continuous immersed in water.
• The curing time can be adjusted by change the rate of Part II and not influenced by humidity.
