1. Overview
Φ3.6 Cold gas station of two-stage gasifier, of which processing has introduced the technology of UK'S Foster Wheeler Synfuels company,has a significant advantage of further reasonable process optimization,combining with actual situation in China. Jiyuan Xianghe Metallurgical Forging Machinery Co., Ltd. is specialized in manufacturing industrial coal gasification furnace with a "D1, D2 grade pressure vessel manufacturing license" and "environmentally friendly products in Henan Province" and other qualifications. According to user requirements, coal gas station design and construction scale consists of 3.6 two-stage cold gas station and facilities with each furnace running production in 6000Nm3/h to 8000Nm3/h. It is should be noted that gasification furnace model selection depends on loading rate of 80~85% of the theoretical maximum output under regular circumstances.
2. Gas Furnace Gasification Principle
Coal gas furnace is energy-saving and environmental protection equipment converting fixed coal into gas. Coal gasification process divided into carbonization and gasification inside the furnace. Coal(bituminous coal) slowly drop in the carbonization section, and then countercurrent exchange directly and indirectly with the rising hot gas from the gasification zone. The carbonization gas will be gradually formed through three stages of drying, preheating, retorting,with the coal volatiles, water and other objects precipitating as temperature increases. Finally the carbonization gas generated in the formation of semi-coke will be gasified completely into the gasification section. Coal gas generated by the gasification section wherein the lower outlet 60-70% lead, known as lower gas and the other 30-40% is mixed with the carbonization after gas dry distillation, leads from the upper outlet, known as upper gas.
2.1.1  Dry Distillation Process
Physical and chemical changes occurring in the the dry distillation of coal includes the following stages:
1)Drying stage(150°C) The surface water and absorbed water evaporated.
2)Preheating stage(150_300°C) The coal emit a small amount of crystal water, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons in the temperature of 150°C -200°C. The coal compounds begin to decompose, increasing carbon dioxide and emitting a small amount of hot oil in the temperature of 200°C_300°C.
3)Dry distillation stage (300_600°C)The coal starts to soften, and to decompose the unsaturated hydrocarbons, methane, hydrogen and other combustible gases as well as tar gas in the temperature of 300°C_400°C. A large number of tar gas decomposes in the temperature of 400_450°C. Semi-coke forms in the temperature of 500-600 °C, tar oil hardly producing.
2.1.2 Semi-coke gasification process
Complex redox reaction occurs between coal with the gasification agent(air, water vapor), generating combustible gas such as carbon monoxide oxygen and carbon dioxide. The main reaction process can be expressed by several groups of equations below.

(4)\H2O(steam)+C=CO+H2-Q   (5)\2H2O(steam)+C=CO2+C=CO2+2H2-Q
The two strands of coal gas output from two outlets respectively, with top gas containing a large number of tar and bottom gas substantially free of tar, but with small amounts of ash. Regarding to the significant advantages of two stage coal gasifier in comparison to the single stage coal gasifier, which consist of better tar off effect, not easy to plug in after process, higher gas calorific value, stable gas production, high degree of automation,low labor intensity, no waste gas pollution, more environmentally friendly as well as optional choice bituminous coal with a lower purchase price, two stage coal gasifier is apparently a better choice.
