Definition of content
One unit of phytase activity (U) is defined as the amount of enzyme, which liberates 1 micromole of inorganic phosphorus per minute from 5.0 mmol/L of sodium phytase solution at PH 5.5 and 37 °C

Function
(1) Hydrolyze phytate release digestible phosphorus, and increase the utilization of phosphorus in feeds.
(2) Reduce the amount of supplemental inorganic P to lower the feed cost.
