What is Perlite?
Perlite is a light gray glassy volcanic rock with a vitreous, pearly luster and a characteristic concentric or perlitic fracture. It is distinguished from other natural glasses by a silicic (rhyolitic) composition plus chemical water held within the glass structure: with 2 to 5 wt.% water it is a middle member of a family of natural glasses starting with obsidian at 1 wt% water through hydrated volcanic ash or pumicite to pitchstone at 10 wt.% water.

0.60 mm - 1.20 mm (30 Mesh - 16 Mesh)

2.40 mm - 4.50 mm (8 Mesh - 4 Mesh)
