The Z-Tie Holder is another method for attaching walers and also be used for strongbacks. The Z-Tie Holder is used in combination with waler ties which come in two lengths to accommodate double 2"×4" and double 2"×6" lumber walers. Once the waler tie is fastened to the forms with standard wedge bolts, the lumber is positioned on each side of the tie then the Z-Tie holder is slipped over the tie and the wedge is pushed down to tighten the assembly.
