1. Lace Color:

 

Lace Base Colour

 

When picking out a lace wig colour, remember that the skin on our scalp is usually lighter in colour than the rest of our complexion (our scalp is usually hidden from the sun). We carry most of our stock lace wigs in the light to medium brown lace because it is the most versatile. The light brown lace has just a hint of colour, which can work for tan persons to medium brown coloured persons. Another point to consider is that once glued down, the lace gets wet and is a little darker. That's why the light brown lace can work well for both light brown and medium brown skin tones. Once glued down, it "disappears" against one's skin. This is all about camouflaging, and not about matching exactly.

Natural Straight (Virgin Remy Hair): 

 

Soft, silky straight texture that has a slight natural wave pattern when wet.    Can also be flat-ironed very straight or curled to achieve a curly look.  Very versatile.

 

Silky Straight: 

 

Soft, silky straight and extra smooth texture.  Great for silky sleek straight looks.  Can also be curled to achieve a curly look. 

 

Light Yaki Straight:

 

This texture resembles African American bone straight relaxed hair texture.  A slightly straighter version of Yaki Straight. This texture resembles a lighter, finer African American relaxed hair texture.  Lighter and thinner than Yaki Straight.

 

Yaki Straight:

 

Resembles thicker relaxed African American hair.  Very soft and bouncy.  Great for sleek straight styles. 

 

Kinky Straight:

 

This texture resembles African American natural "blown-out" hair.  More of a "poofy" straight look.  It can be flat ironed and curled straight (as straight as Yaki Straight). Will return to it's original texture once wet/washed and conditioned.

 

Body Wave:

 

Silky soft large S shaped curl pattern that is more obvious towards ends of hair. It can also be flat ironed and curled straight. Will return to it's original texture once wet/washed and conditioned.

 

Deep Wave:

 

Silky soft deeper waves. It can also be flat ironed and curled straight. Will return to it's original texture once wet/washed and conditioned.

 

Afro Curl:

 

This texture resembles natural African American Afro tighty curled hair  when brushed out.  It can be flat ironed and curled straight (almost as straight as Yaki Straight). Great for natural looks, twists, locks and braids.Will return to it's original texture once wet/washed and conditioned.

 

Kinky Curl:

 

Looser, soft smaller depth waves in a yaki texture.  Resembles hair after a braid-out.  Has a very tight deep wave "crinkled" pattern.  It can also be flat ironed and curled straight. Will return to it's original texture once wet/washed and conditioned.

 

6.  Cap Design:  full French lace, full Swiss lace , full lace with stretch ear to ear, full lace with stretch in middle, or thin skin around perimeter etc as our design, or arrange as the customer demand picture style.

 

 

 

7. Baby Hairs:   baby hairs around the perimeter of any texture for free as the customer demand.

  

Baby hairs help further the illusion of naturalness. These short hairs are tied on the perimeter of the wig. The hairs can be brushed into the rest of the hairs on the wig, or you can separate them and brush them toward your face. Baby hairs are made standard on all units unless otherwise requested. Virtually all of our customers request baby hairs as it greatly helps with the naturalness of the wig.

Baby Hair are short hair placed on the perimeter of the full lace wig to create the most natural appearance of a hairline.

 

The Baby Hair of each full lace wig by A-List Lace Hair Wigswig  are hand tied one by one, around the lace edges, with a bleached double knot at the base, to avoid excessive shedding, creating the perfect illusion of a  flawless natural hairline.

Baby Hair is a FREE Option, and will be placed around the whole perimeter of your full lace wig unless advised otherwise.

 

Please Note: The full lace wig with baby hair in the below pictures, was pulled down, away from the longer hair for demonstration purposes, so that it can clearly be seen.

 

8. Cap size: small, medium, large or custom made head measurements.

 

 

9. After you buy it into home,how do you achieve a natural look?

 

Lace wig may be applied in several ways, but before doing so, follow these steps:

 

1. Remove your wig from the package. After making sure that your own hair is pinned up carefully to your head, apply a flesh colored stocking cap. The reason for the stocking cap is to prevent natural oils from getting onto the wig. This prevents excessive washing. Because the lace is also transparent and sheer, you will be able to see the stocking cap through the parting of your own wig, and it will appear as though your natural scalp is showing through, making your wig looks even more undetectable. Keep in mind that your stocking cap should be 1 or 2 shades lighter than the pigment of your face.
2. Apply the wig. Make sure it fits properly and comfortably, and that the hairline is natural looking.
3. Now go ahead and cut the extra lace around. As you can see, it needs to be cut back in order to be applied properly. We s est cutting the lace until about ¼ to 1/8 of an      inch is left. You may also cut the lace all the way back to the hairline.

 

With adhesive products:

  Gather your application products for easy access and prepare your own hair by either braiding into small cornrows, pin curling or wrapping your hair tightly. The main objective is to get your hair as flat as possible. Wearing a wig cap is optional, but recommended.

 

   Pin and clip all the hairs on your unit (especially the baby hairs) away from the edges of the wig’s perimeter.

 

    Apply Fray Block (available in fabric stores) to lace as directed on packaging and allow drying. (Optional)  Please note that Fray Block will help stop your lace from fraying. Fray block should dry clear. 

    Carefully cut extra lace around the perimeter of the wig to where the hair is knotted, being careful not to cut into the baby hairs (if your wig has them).

 

    Apply alcohol or cleanser with a cotton ball to clean skin around the edges of your natural hairline. The aim is to remove all excess oils from your skin. Apply scalp protector to area to be bonded. Let dry.

 

    Using an application brush or Q-tip, apply adhesive just beyond your hairline as instructed by the lace wig adhesive manufacturer. Once the glue is ready (this will depend on the glue type), position lace wig on your head with hairline rolled back. Starting at the middle point of your forehead, bond wig to head by pressing down on one side, then the other, using the end of a tail comb. Use the back end of comb to press harder further securing lace front wig onto hairline. Allow time for glue to completely cure/dry before styling.

 

   Tie the edges of hair with a silk scarf until glue has fully set / cured.

 

 

 

10. How do I care for my wig?

 

 

 

When not in use, always store your wig on a mannequin or wig stand to maintain its shape. 

Frequency of cleaning will depend on your environment, lifestyle and amount of perspiration. S ested guidelines for cleaning are after 10 to 14 days of wear. To clean and condition your wig, follow the manufacturer's instructions that come with your wig. 

Synthetic and Blended Wigs
Only shampoos, conditioners, hair sprays and other styling accessories designed specifically for synthetic wigs should be used to take care of synthetic hair or blended (synthetic/human) hair wigs. After shampooing and conditioning, make sure to rinse your wig thoroughly in cool water. Always use a soft towel and carefully blot dry (do not scrub). Allow your wig to dry naturally overnight on a wig stand. 

Human Hair Wigs
Special products should also be used on human hair wigs because the hair in human hair wigs has been processed several times and is vulnerable to damage. Any high quality shampoo formulated for processed hair may be used, however, wigs.com strongly recommends you use the products made especially for wigs to protect your investment.
