The Simplicity Arc Source is a complete arc source factory configured to operate a 500W W Ozone Free Hg(Xe) Lamp. It is just as stable as our fully featured sources. It includes the lamp housing, power supply, arc lamp, and all necessary cables, adapters and mounting hardware. The lamp housing is an aluminum enclosure that holds the ignitor, lamp, and collecting and collimating optics. It has a number of safety features built-in, to prevent accidental exposure to the lamp's harmful UV. It also provides a temperature stable environment for the lamp. The lamp housing condenser is a two element UV grade fused silica F/1 asphere. The output beam is 1.9 inch (48 mm) diameter The power supply is an OEM version of the Fully Featured Models. It runs the specified lamp at the lamp's rated current and voltage. Output stability is impressive; line regulation is 0.01% and light ripple is <1%. Because the power supply is factory pre-set to run the specified lamp, we eliminated the ability to adjust and display the lamp's operating parameters. To also reduce cost we removed the ability to monitor the lamp's usage. The housing has adjustable height instrument feet. You can remove them and hard mount the housing to an inch (1/4-20) or metric (M6) optical table or base plate. You can also mount selected housings to a bench or rail with the  Carrier Mounting Kit. 2 Inch Series flange.
