The only requirement for correct reading is to aim the radar at the moving direction of the target. The smaller the angle, the less error there will be.

The radar has “angle error”. Formula: Cosine X angle* actual speed =reading on the radar. If the angle is 5 degrees, the reading on the radar is 99.6% of actual sped or actual speed 50KPH, the reading on the radar 49.8KPh.
